We want to help farmers, innovators and investors navigate a new, more sustainable and resilient food system
We want to help drive a green transition in food production. The food system, at large, today accounts for about a third of global greenhouse gas emissions. Food and agriculture also contribute to water and air pollution, for example through the use of fertilizers and other chemicals, and to biodiversity loss, as a result of land use change, and the application of inputs such as pesticides, as well as water abstraction.
This food system is no longer sustainable, for the planet or people. Change is coming, driven by consumers, technology disruption and regulation.
To help farmers, innovators and investors navigate a green transition in food production, we have built a taxonomy of more than 1,700 technologies and markets. We have then classified more than 13,000 entities, accordingly. That includes more than 3,300 companies, from startups to sustainability giants, and more than 9,000 investors, as well as 500 companies driving acquisitions. And we have populated these data with more than $150 billion of deals, including fund-raisings and M&A.
We have published a database, to provide access to these data. We also offer a weekly insight, distilling our most topical, deep-dive findings, for free, and we run a regular podcast. Please visit our green transition platform, where we offer a free trial. And find out how our diversified data can help you pick your path through this transition, by ranking companies, finding partners, or investing.
